Superside alternatives with published pricing start at $699 a month at ManyPixels, against a $15,000 a month minimum on an annual term at Superside. Every price below was read from the firm's own page on 2026-11-01, and the yearly figures are our arithmetic, shown so you can check it.

Most "Superside alternatives" lists are written by firms that appear in them, usually first. This one lists firms alphabetically, says plainly what you give up by moving down the price ladder, and flags what we could not verify.

What Superside's pricing page says

Superside's pricing page lists:

  • Flex plan: per the pricing page, subscriptions start at a $15,000 minimum monthly spend, with an annual commitment and a $1,000 a month software fee. Overages are billed at the standard rate once the monthly budget is used.
  • Dedicated AI-Native Team: (same page) $30,000 a month over 12 months, with the same $1,000 a month software fee and custom brand models.
  • Quick Start: (same page) $20,000 over three weeks to set up its brand knowledge system and train stakeholders.
  • AI: the page calls the approach "human-led by design," with the software fee covering in-platform image generation and AI generation costs on standard projects.

If the $1,000 fee on the Superside pricing page applies on top of the $15,000 minimum, as the page's layout suggests, the Flex floor is $192,000 a year ($16,000 x 12). We could not confirm from the page whether the fee is billed on top or included, so ask for that in writing.

Not in the table because no price is published: Design Pickle, which sets the number on a call. Admiral Media publishes retainers in euros, €4,000 to €21,500 a month, so a direct dollar comparison would need a conversion we did not make.

What you give up at a lower price

The cheaper plans are not a smaller version of the same thing. Be clear about the trade before you switch.

  • Team structure. A flat subscription usually gives you a queue of requests, handled one or a few at a time. Designjoy states "one request at a time" on its plan.
  • Scope. ManyPixels says complex work, such as full brand identities, long decks or websites, spans multiple days on any plan, according to its FAQ.
  • Enterprise features. Brand models, custom workflows and dedicated programme staff are what Superside's higher fees are said to cover. Check whether you need them before paying for them.
  • Speed claims differ in kind. ManyPixels claims next-day or same-day delivery, Penji claims 1 business day on its entry plan, and Designjoy claims an average of 48 hours. These are each firm's own claims, and we have not logged turnaround ourselves.

A worked example: cost per asset at 30 assets a month

Say you need 30 finished assets a month. Dividing each plan's monthly price by 30 gives a floor on the cost per asset if you use the whole plan. This is illustrative arithmetic, not a measured result, because plans differ in what counts as a request and how much revision they allow.

PlanMonthly pricePer asset at 30 a month
ManyPixels Advanced$699$23.30
Penji Essentials$995$33.17
Awesomic Graphic Pack$1,799$59.97
Designjoy$4,995$166.50
Superside Flex minimum$15,000 ($16,000 with the fee)$500.00 ($533.33 with the fee)

The gap narrows when the work is complex or when you need dozens of brands, markets or formats handled at once. That is the case the higher plans exist for. If your 30 assets are social posts and display ads, the table says you should at least get a quote from the lower tier before committing to the higher one.

How to decide in four steps

  1. Write down your monthly volume. Count the assets you actually need, not what you wish you had. If the number is under a few dozen a month, a plan at roughly $700 to $2,000 (ManyPixels to Penji) is the natural place to start.
  2. Decide how much AI you want in the final work. Designity states it avoids AI in final creative work. Superside and Penji describe AI as part of their process. Neither choice is wrong; match it to your brand risk.
  3. Prefer month-to-month if volume is uncertain. ManyPixels states "no contracts" and a $10 a month pause fee; Superside lists an annual commitment.
  4. Send each shortlisted firm the same brief. A three-asset brief with a deadline shows more than a pricing page. Our 25 questions to ask before hiring includes what to put in it.

What we could not verify

  • Whether the $1,000 a month Superside fee is added to or included in the $15,000 minimum.
  • Turnaround and quality for any firm; we quote the firms' own pages and have not sent a test brief.
